A missionary visa is required for missionary travel to Bosnia Herzegovina. The Consulate of Bosnia Herzegovina requires applicants to apply for Bosnia Herzegovina visas directly, and a personal appearance may be necessary at the nearest Bosnia Herzegovina Consulate. We recommend that you contact the consulate to obtain the most current requirements and make an appointment if necessary.

Passport Requirements:

Original passport and one photocopy of passport information and signature page. The passport must be signed, valid for 6 months beyond stay in Bosnia Herzegovina, with at least one blank passport page available for Bosnia Herzegovina visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Bosnia Herzegovina visas.

Photo Requirements:

One recent 2 x 2 passport photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

Business Cover Letter:

Letter from host or sponsoring organization in the US, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s status/position held in the organization, clearly stating the purpose of visit to Bosnia Herzegovina. The letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant, date of entry and exit and must provide detailed contact information in Bosnia Herzegovina.

The Consulate of Bosnia Herzegovina requires an official business letter to support your application. Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Bosnia Herzegovina. A voucher from the travel agency stating the trip has been paid in full.


Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Copy of your last bank statement or proof of financial sufficiency from organizer, clearly stating who will be responsible for all expenses
